GAAPP is a Patient-Focused Organization, That Works With Healthcare Professionals, Researchers, Scientists and Governments to Help People with Allergies, Airways and Atopic Diseases.

THE CHALLENGE
“Duncan Was Invited To Madrid for the GAAPP Global Conference to help increase their ability to influence and collaborate together more effectively.”
“60 patient advocacy leaders in respiratory from throughout the world gathered in Madrid for the global conference of the Global Allergies and Airways Patient Platform. Duncan was tasked with delivering a keynote that would leave the delegates more confident in creating change within government organizations and collaborating more effectively together.
DUNCAN’S SOLUTION
“Duncan’s solution was to deliver a keynote drawing on his experience as well as tailored behavioural science from the medial and health world.”
Coming from Dubai, having spoken there the day before, Duncan arrived early to prepare for his keynote and check the AV and room layout was correct. He had tailored his keynote from the outline brief given and also run through his suggestions with the events team a few days prior to ensure everything was aligned. He also used his keynote to offer some interactive and fun elements as this was the closing keynote of 3 days of presentations.
THE RESULT
“Everyone left invigorated and ready to use the strategies Duncan shared to effect change within local government.”
Leaders from Glaxo Smith Klein and Astra Zeneca were all equally enthused by Duncan’s delivery and ready to embrace the new perspectives he shared. The team all engaged with the session and had lots of fun through the mentalism performances that hung the bigger message of influence and collaboration off the back of it. This made the keynote more fun, memorable and was guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
THOUGHTS FROM DUNCAN
“Madrid is always a fun city to deliver a keynote. This was no different.”
At time of writing, Tonya Winders was holding the position of CEO. Her authenticity, passion and dedication to helping others was an incredible source of inspiration. So it was easy to support her drive for the need for collaboration and many parts of my Effective Influence Model dovetailed incredibly well with the ethos of GAAPP. Their growth has been incredible – all off the back of wanting to help others. As I always say when I get booked for sales speaking engagements – our job is not to sell, it’s to help. GAAPP – whilst not selling a product can leverage collaboration and the influence strategies I shared for even greater successes in their organization and hope I can work with them again.
