I thought ur talk was very interesting with the way u were speaking and the stories u told and how u told the stories....and i really took what u said to heart and have been going to church more often and i find going is really rewarding... - Grade 11, Ashley
I loved it! some of your stories were hilarious, but some were very touching and shocking. Your slide show thing about god was really nice, and kind of creepy but it really let us see what it (The Passion of the Christ) was like. Me and my friends want you to come back to our school, we loved your pictures and all of your stories. - Amber K grade 9
I thought that the stories that you said was completely open honest and extremely good for people of any age to reflect upon and to use to there advantage for getting through life. I really thought that through the stories and the video you captured the true meaning of modern Christians and Christians in the far past. the movie was touching, close to home and it really made people think. something that really also made the talk more interesting was your background and comedy. i know for a fact that your speech has touched many people present in the presentation... - Ashley R, high school. When my teacher said we were going to hear a 'missionary story', honestly, it didn't really sound that fun...but once we got to the cafeteria (that’s where the presentation was) i was interested in what you had to say. i thought you would be the typical guy that talks about the word of the Lord, Jesus, etc...and you did but in a different way.
I was amazed at how somebody had everything, living the life, and then just gave it ALL away. i think you did an amazing job of telling your story; in a 'language' that i (and many others my age) can understand. i also really enjoyed when you acted out the commercials....it added some humour; and i also noticed, just from that, that you were a really good actor! i found it interesting on howyou picked you saint name to be St.Francis when you were confirmed in high school, then later ended up doing almost the EXACT same thing later in life.
I found that your story also opened my eyes quite a bit and made me more aware to what is important in life. it's not about being cool, and many of us didn’t know what 'cool' was. its not having the coolest clothes, the hottest music, etc.(although i absolutely love to listen to music; it is a part of my life, and so i should listen to what i am hearing, and paying close attention to the lyrics.) However, cool is being a good person, kind and respectful, getting an education, and doing your best to succeed- and following the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. =) (the B.I.B.L.E) -- Krista, grade 8
